Property Description
The Ideal Youth Hostel opened in the year 2000 in a typical Barcelona's city center style building. It's an experienced hostel located by the famous Ramblas boulevard and next to the Opera House.
The traditional historical appearance of the facade has been maintained, while the interior is modern with an industrial minimal look, including silver concrete walls and colored neon lights. We try to adjust to both, single backpackers as well as groups offering all what you need to help you enjoy your stay in the city.
Accommodation is offered in 2,4, 6 ,8 , and maximum 10 people shared or private dorm-rooms. Most of the rooms have their own balcony, individual wc and free hot showers. Furthermore the hostel provides individual lockers in each room (free of charge).
We also offer a terrace, linen, vending machines, self service laundrette , microwave and fridge and a lounge in which you can relax.
Upon request half or full board meals and lunch boxes are available. We also offer private meeting rooms free of charge for groups and separate breakfast area. Internet ,Linen Service ,24 h check in, touristic information and a common living room are good reasons to stay at the Ideal, and what makes customers repeat booking with us year after year. In addition, there is every deposit in every occasion such as room key, towel and even air conditioner"s remote control)30 eur!). I think that sum of deposit can approximate room expense. there is no "quite hour" policy, so bigcrazy sound inandout exists | Male

Everything else is horrible - you have to pay for internet (and it was not working for 2 days), breakfast is very poor and very early, you have to wait in a long line to check in, we couldn't sleep in the same room (there were 3 of us)...

Cash only policy is disappointing, and lack of a/c and poor quality shower/toilet facilities would persuade me from staying here again.
